PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

Jeralyn Brossfield, MD and Lisa Lindley, MD opened Rancho Mirage Women's Health Center in the fall of 2002 acting on a shared dream: To create an inviting and safe environment where they could provide women with the kind of phenomenal medical care that comes from understanding the mind-body connection and myriad of issues that impact a woman's health and well-being.

Within two years, their private practice was thriving; so much so that they saw nearly 5,000 patients annually. But every day, insurance constraints intruded, often limiting patient visits to 15 minutes or less. They quickly realized that with this mode of practice, it was impossible to develop genuine relationships with their patients, and they were determined not to sacrifice the quality care that was the hallmark of their practice.

In order to maintain true doctor-patient partnerships that would result in the exceptional care that they had envisioned, in 2004 Rancho Mirage Women's Health Center converted to a fee-for-service practice model. To complement this model, Drs. Brossfield and Lindley also established the Women's Wellness Program, an innovative comprehensive plan that merges the best of preventative and traditional diagnostic care to help women live happier and healthier lives.

Today, this emphasis on "whole person" care continues and remains the cornerstone of Rancho Mirage Women's Health Center where you can expect:
